  7. 10-17-89:
  8. As Microsoft released netbind.exe into the public domain, it has been 
  9. decided to distribute this as a service to users.  Using this, one may 
  10. use any of the NDIS drivers with whatever protocol stacks they desire, through
  11. the facilities of the Protocol Manager.  Pending the release of new 
  12. documentation, I hope this readme file suffices to show you how to get it 
  13. working.  First step is to create a config.sys to load the drivers:

  16. Make sure that the two files, pro.msg and proh.msg are in the
  17. same directory as netbind.  These are required.  If netbind succeeds, run
  18. the Generic Ethernet kernel, ethdrv.exe.  At this point, the PC/TCP Software
  19. is ready for use.

  21. Note that FTP Software Inc. supports the modules dispktpm.dos and ethdrv.exe,
  22. as well as all of the PC/TCP Application programs.  The protocol manager and
  23. netbind.exe and the NDIS drivers are not supported by FTP Software.
